aims to encourage interest in the countryside for the environment through a programme of talks, walks, coach outings and fundraising coffee mornings.
Having just listened to the Governments latest advice it would seem that restrictions will be in place for the foreseeable future.
This means that sadly the Field Society is cancelling all Monday meetings for the rest of the season. We will be informing everyone at a later date about the new season that starts on Monday 14th September.
We will also be cancelling the daytime meeting on Tuesday 14 th April and hope that the Sept 1st daytime meeting will go ahead, details nearer the time.
Also the Day trips for the rest of the year are cancelled, members going on these trips will be contacted.
A sorry end to a very good year of talks and outings..lets hope that this will soon be over.
We have a programme of Monday evening meetings with speakers, twice a month from September to April. Talks cover all aspects of wildlife and countryside. Also local history, travel and places of interest in and around Sussex.
Occasional coach outings are organised for members, visiting National Trust properties, gardens, historical sites and other places of interest.
We enjoy exploring our beautiful countryside. Two programmes of local walks are arranged .
Two coffee mornings are arranged each year, providing an opportunity for members to meet and socialise, while at the same time raising funds for a local charity or project.
