Our Monday evening meetings, with speakers, are held at the Adastra Hall (Keymer Road, Hassocks) from September to the end of April.

The entry fee, which includes tea or coffee and biscuits, is £1.50 for members. Visitors are also very welcome – entry fee £2.  All talks start at 7.45 p.m.

“The Search for Wallace’s spider ”

In 2006 a spider was found in a jar at the museum of Natural History. It was from the Beagle, Darwin’s ship. Ray Hale talks about his quest to prove that the spider was collected by Alfred Russel Wallace.
